WRITING HOMEWORK - In your Journal notebook, you are to refer to your Nov. Language Workspace and scroll to the very bottom (purple cards) where we have all the information on our Journal Writing. You are to look at the Gr. 6 Success Criteria for Paragraph Writing (4th column) and use it to revise your paragraph (My Career) from last week's Journal. In class, we have been learning about each area from the success criteria: run-on sentences, sentence fragments, transition words, precise word choice, compound & complex sentences, topic sentence, closing sentence, vivid detail sentences. You will do a working and then final copy of this Journal Entry in the third column of your Language Workspace - using the Success Criteria to make your writing even better! Don't forget to also revisit the sample paragraph in the second column! -Due Mon. or Tues.

In class, we have been learning about each area from the success criteria: run-on sentences, sentence fragments, transition words, precise word choice, compound & complex sentences, topic sentence, closing sentence, vivid detail sentences. You will do a working and then final copy of this Journal Entry in the third column of your Language Workspace - using the Success Criteria to make your writing even better! Then, using those instructions, complete a Journal Entry using today, tomorrow, or Sunday's date. In university, students still do many exams using pencil and paper (which are essay and short answer style) so we need to practise for fluency in using a pencil and paper - not just typing. Journal will be due every Tuesday, but I strongly suggest having it done for Monday!
